To be honest, I wasn¡¯t very inspired today, so this tutorial won¡¯t be anything hard to create, although the previous tutorials were simple, but this tutorial is more than simple. I will show you how to create a nice looking glossy tabs with Fireworks built-in tabs feature.
This is the final result:

1. Create a new document and in the Assets windows select Auto shapes tab and then select the tabs feature. If the Assets window is not opened, you can open Auto shapes tab directly by going to Window -> Auto shapes and selecting the tab feature. So, select that feature and drag it in your document.

And now you have something like this:

2. To manipulate with those tabs, there are four things you have to know. The last thing that is now shown on the picture below is that you can add effects on tabs and in the properties toolbar you don¡¯t change background of tabs, you¡¯re selecting the brightest color. In this tutorial I use white. Actually, it would be the best for you to try with a few colors to see the difference and the real meaning.

3. When your trying to move a Hue dot (to change the background), its value is shown.

That¡¯s all. Now you¡¯re ready to create your glossy tabs. In this tutorial, I made four tabs with these Hue values:
*1st tab: 28 (orange)
*2nd tab: 80 (green)
*3rd tab: 196 (blue)
*4th tab: 360 (red)
