  • Fireworks CS3 Tutorial: Wedding Photo Frame for Scrapbooks

    Author: 2008-12-30 13:09:00 From:

In this tutorial I will show you how to create a wedding photo frame for scrapbooks. Digital Scrapbooking is very popular and this frame would be great for a wedding photo. This frame is created using Fireworks CS3. You will need to have that version to create this wedding photo frame. You will also need to have the Border Corners 2 dingbat installed. If you do not have it installed, download it and install it before moving on.

Please take a look at the image that I have provided to see the out come of this tutorial. I did not have a wedding photo to put in the frame, so I had to use a photo of a flower. But the main thing is the frame. Open your Fireworks CS3 program and create a new canvas to work on.

We will start by creating the background part of the wedding photo frame. You will need to draw a rectangle for your background. So, grab the rectangle tool and draw the rectangle the size that you want it. Then open your styles panel by clicking Window > Styles or pressing Shift + F11 on your keyboard. Locate the Text Effect Small 008 style and click it to apply it to your rectangle. Make sure that your rectangle is selected before you apply the style.

Now we will create the border corners to go on the frame. We will create the bottom right border corner and then we will duplicate the other corners. Draw a text box on the frame and type the letter r in the box. Change the font style to Border Corners 2. Change the color fill to # 5673A7. The size of the border corner will depend on the size frame that you created. You want the border corners to be big enough to touch each other at the bottom and top. I used a size 96 for my border corners.
