We have already gone over how to take dull images and make them vibrant, lets try taking a normal photo and transforming it into a picture from the past. In this tutorial I will show you how to make your photos look old. Here is the image I started out with.

Start off by adding some noise to your photo, this will take its smooth appearance and make it a little more worn. Choose Filter > Noise > Add Noise. We don't want too much, I just used a value of 8.

Now we are going to take all this color out of our photo. The color of the past is not so much black and white, but instead has a tint of brown. This is called Sepia. To change your photo into Sepia Tone choose Commands > Creative > Convert to Sepia Tone.

Your image should assume a brown hue. Next we are going to give it an old-style picture frame. Choose Commands > Creative > Add Picture Frame. I choose a frame size of 25 and a pattern of "twill."
