Learn how to create nice looking, but very simple frontside text shadow effect.

STEP ONE

Start with a New document and write some text. Set this background to that text - #0066CC and size should be 50. I use font Trebuchet MS.

STEP TWO

Copy that text and click the background icon in the Properties window. Then select Fill Options -> Gradient -> Linear and place the background line like I placed it on the image below. Also set color like I marked them on the image below.

STEP THREE

Select the text with gradient background and press CTRL+SHIFT+9 twice. Now select that rotated text and in the Properties window click the icon shown below and select Horizontal right to left.

STEP FOUR

Now, select the rotated text and select the Skew tool, in the Select panel, or keep pressing Q key untill you see the icon shown below.

STEP FIVE

Select the rotated text and, after selecting the Skew tool, click the spot shown on the image below and go with mouse to right. See the picture below.

STEP SIX

Place the rotated text below the first one and set it¡¯s (rotated text¡¯s) font size to 43.
