In this tutorial you will see how to create a nice looking sleek text.

STEP ONE

I started with a New document, 800 x 600 pixels. Write some text and select it.

STEP TWO

First, add border. My color of border is #000066, 1 pixel soft style. Now, we have to set background for the text you wrote. On the Properties window click Background color -> Fill Options -> Gradient -> Linear. The background should be placed like on the picture below, with marked colors.
