For todays tutorial we¡¯re going to create a sleek text in Fireworks.

The effect looks nice and can be used for logos on non business websites, like website with games, humor websites¡­

This is the final result:

1. Create a new document, any size. I¡¯ve created 800¡Á600 pixels. Then select the text tool (or press T) and write some text. Select the text and in the properties toolbar click on the background icon. Then click Fill options and select Gradient -> Linear. Put the background line like I did on the picture below. Set the colors shown below.

2. In the same toolbar click the border icon and click Stroke options. Set color to white (#FFFFFF), Basic -> Soft rounded. Set tip size to 2.

3. In the same toolbar click on Effects -> Shadow and Glow -> Glow and set all values like they¡¯re shown below.

The font I used is Trebuchet ms, size is 40 and it¡¯s bold.

That¡¯s all.
