In this tutorial we are going to use eyecandy filters to make your text "zoom." First things first, take your text tool and write out your title.

To get the best effect you want to make your letters distinguishable in color. I changed each letter to a different color so that when it is "zoomed" a rainbow effect is created.

Next we are going to give our text a little volume. Click on the "+" sign in your properties window, and choose Bevel and Emboss > Inner Bevel. We are just going to give our text a little height, which will make our motion trail a little more 3d looking.

Next choose Filters > Eye Candy > Motion Trail.

This will change your text from a vector image into a bitmap, that is fine, click "ok."

In the motion trail window you can adjust the length, taper, and overall opacity of your trail. Depending on where you want your text to be "zooming from" adjust the direction as well. You can see the values I chose below for guidance.

Click ok and your text should come to life! Here is how mine turned out.
