    Step 1.
To start off make a new Flash document with a black background. Import an image or create s shape in flash, and then convert it to a symbol (F8). For this tutorial, I'm going to be using simple bee like character, but any image will do.
    a)  b)

    Step 3.
Create a Motion Guide layer (Insert > Timeline > Motion Guide), as shown in image a). The image, that we're going to make move, should be on layer 1 and we're now going to create a path on the guide layerl. Next, choose the pen tool (p) and create the 1st point, circled in red.
    a)  b)

    Step 4.
Create the 2nd point, dragging it to create a curve, and then create a 3rd point, which will produce a 2nd cruve (image b).
    a)  b)

    Step 5.
Create a 3rd curve. Choose the Selection Tool (v) and drag the image to the bottom of the path. Make sure that the center (indicated with the corss) of the image is touching the path. you may need to zoom in to make sure it is.
    a)  b)

    Step 6.
Next, click on frame 30 of the guide layer and insert a frame (Insert > Timeline > Frame or F5).

    Step 7.
Click on frame 30, of the image layer, and add a keyframe (insert > timeline > keyframe)

    Step 8.
While frame 30 of the image layer is still selected, move the image to the top of the path. Again make sure that the center of the image is touching the path. Next, right click on any frame of the image layer and choose "Create Motion Tween".
    a)  b)

    Step 9.
Now go to Publish Preview (File > Publish Preview > Flash) and the image should be seen to follow the path, like in animation b).
    a)  b)
    Step 10.
As you can see from below, you can create lots of paths that start and stop at different frames. And that brings us to the end of this Flash tutorial! You can download the FLAs from here
