In this tutorial, I will show you how to make a simple animation for image.

Open a New Document and Import image from your local disk. File>Import>Import to Stage. In this tutorial I will import 4 images. One by one.

After import the first image, convert (F8) to graphic. See image below.

    Macromedia Flash

Create a new layer and do the same way for second to fourth image. Every image must be in different layer.

When you¡¯re done with import and convert to graphic, you¡¯ll have 4 layers now. Before we go further, change your background color to Black. See below.

    Macromedia Flash

Now, we working image. Go to timeline, highlight frame 10 of every layer and press F6 to insert keyframe. Do the same thing on frame 30 and 40. See image below.

    Macromedia Flash

Click keyframe 1 and image for every layer, go to Color>Alpha. See image below.

    Macromedia Flash

Change alpha to 0%, do the same way to keyframe 10 for every layer but this time you may need to change alpha to 100%.

Repeat it for keyframe 30. Alpha must be 100% on this keyframe. And last keyframe 40 and alpha must be 0%.

Now is time to put a motion tween on every layer. Highlight keyframe 1 for every layer. Right click>Create Motion Tween. You may see timeline for keyframe 1 to 10 changes to blue color. Repeat these steps for keyframe 10 and keyframe 30. And you¡¯ll see like below.

    Macromedia Flash

Nothing you have to do with keyframe 40 because it is the last keyframe. Now your picture is animated, but we need to animate it from one picture to another. So follow the next step.

On Layer 2, highlight every keyframe and drag to keyframe 30 of Layer 1. See image below. You also can highlight and drag keyframe for other layer together, more easier.

    Macromedia Flash

Repeat same way for layer 3 and 4. And you¡¯ll get a similar timeline as shown below.

Your last keyframe should end at keyframe 127. Now, you can test your animated movie. It¡¯s done already.
