In this tutorial you will learn how to use motion guides to create a more advanced tween.

First of all draw something to tween, for the tutorials sake I have drawn a circle.
Then you need to select it and hit F8 to convert it to a movie clip. Make sure that
    the registration is centered.

Now insert a Keyframe further down the timeline. In this case I put one on 20.

Now create a motion guide layer, and draw a path for your movie clip to follow
(hereon reffered to as mc) using the pencil tool, on your motion guide layer. Make
    sure the line is continuous.

The picture is cut off, but the actual line does need to have no breaks in it.

Now select frame one of the layer your mc is on and open the properties bar.
Change the Tween drop down box to motion.

Select the first frame of your mc layer, and move the mc to the beginning of the
motion guide line. Make sure snap to objects is on, so the middle of the movie clip
'snaps' onto the line. Then select the last frame of the mc layer and move the mc
to the end of the motion guide line.

Your final timeline should look like this.

And here's what I ended up with.
