Step 2 - Adding Clouds

Now make sure that your foreground and background colors are set to black and white. After this, go to filters>>render>>clouds to get something like the image below:

Step 3 - Adding Mezzotint

After adding clouds, go to filters>>pixelate>>mezzotint and use medium strokes for the type. You will get something like the image below:

Step 4 - Adding Radial Blur

Go to Filters>>blur>>radial blur. Use the settings below:

You will be needed to repeat this again by pressing CTRL+F. You will get something like below:

Step 5 - Twirl or wave

This is the most important step of all. Go to Filters>>Distort>>Twirl or Wave then use the settings below or click on randomize. Doing this will always give you different styles of abstract.

Step 6 - Duplicating and Flipping

Now the image is not looking like an abstract but this step will make it look like an abstract design. Duplicate your background layer by righ clicking on your background layer and then click on duplicate layer. After doing this, make sure your background copy layer is selected and press CTRL+T>>Right click on your image>>Flip Verticle.

After doing this set your layer’s blending mode to lighten or multiply. You will get something like this:

After doing this, press CTRL+E to merge both of the layers then again repeat the process but now select Flip Verticle to get this:

Step 7 - Adjusting Hue and Saturation

After geeting the image like the above, Press CTRL+U and click on Colorize. Now play with the settings to give your unique abstract design a unique color or use my settings:
