In this week Tutorial, we will create one Eco-friendly Stumbleupon icon. Remaining icons are FREE source files, which you can download and use it.

Final Result of Eco friendly Icon

Open the downloaded texture image.
Select the elliptical marquee tool and draw a circle by pressing Shift. Watch the info panel. Stop when its 300px.
Press Ctrl + C to copy the texture.
Now open a New document 500 x 400 px.where we are going to do our exercise.
Paste it in the new document which is open. Draw guides to get the center.

In the tool bar, select the Elliptical Tool (U) and draw an ellipse of 300px.
Next, we have to add some fresh green grass on the border. For that select the brush tool (B). From the Brush Presets, select the “Dune Grass” brush. (by default on the right side top also you can see brushes tab.) Now we need to change the settings.

From the top right tab, click the Brushes tab and change the settings as below.
Slide the brush spacing to 1% (the least) It strokes should be tight enough.

Change the color to #3a670f. (Dark Green). Now go to the Paths menu, and right click the mouse to bring out the option menu. Select the Strokes.

The results will be like below.

Repeat the same process of stroking 2 times. 3rd stroke apply a lighter color -#5a9c38. (Use the same colors for the steps below)

Now go to the Texture file and copy a second ellipse of 220px. Paste it in the center.

Apply the following bevel settings.

As we did the grass stroking for the above, repeat the same by drawing ellipse, and the apply strokes.

Make a Stumbleupon logo shape or download a logo and select the white logo as below. Place it on the center.

Ctrl+ Click on the layer panel to select the logo.

Go to paths panel. On the top corner you can see a button with an arrow . Click on that to open the menu.

Select the “Make Work Path…” . Change the value to 1.0. Now you have got the shape of the logo.

Next we need to stroke the shape as we did for the ellipse. Before that we need to reverse the strokes.

Change the angle of brush stokes to opposite direction. Refer the below screen.

Stroke it 3 times with different green shades.

Apply bright green color, #99f202 to the layer.

We are now done!
