Create your own simple icons with Photoshop 7.0+.

Step 1: Draw the outlines of your icon in ANY color you wish. 1 pixel wide with the Pencil tool.

Step 2: Select the inside of the box you drew at step 1 and go to Layer >> New Fill Layer >> Gradient, use any colors you like or use the ones I used (light: #CCFFFF Dark: #66CCCC). it is best to go from light up to dark down.

Step 3: Change the outlines to a color that is somewhat darker than your darkest gradient color. Just color them with your pencil tool.

Step 4: Select the layer that holds the gradient and go to Layer >> Layer Style >> Bevel and Emboss

Apply these settings and click OK

Your image should look somewhat like the one below.

Now use your imagination and draw some details to the image, I added some writing and a stamp.

TIP: Always try to draw as much detail as you can, zoom out the 100% view and delete the things that over-do it
