In this tutorial I will be showing you how to make a simple badge or sticker in Adobe Photoshop.

Step 1.

Open photoshop and create a new file (File>New) make it 250 x 250px with a transparent background.

Step 2.

Using the custom shape tool look for the sticker/badge shape with the red (#ff0000) selected as the colour.

Step 3.

Go to blending options (Layer>Layer Style>Blending Options) and use the following settings.

Step 5.

Now we create a new layer (Layer>New>Layer) and by using the Eliptical Marquee Tool we make a selection like this.

Now we right click and select inverse.

Step 6.

Fill the selected area with white and set the layer opacity to 75% and set the mode to Soft Light.

Step 7.

Now we just have to add the text or a logo and you’re done. Make sure that the logo or text is underneath the white layer in the layers panel.
