Learn how to draw up your own Easter card from scratch.

Create a new file (File>New) that must have 1280x1024 px and 72 dpi. 

Select after that the Rectangle Tool (U) to create the background of the picture we want to get.



Select next demonstrated parameters by making a mouse click on the processed layer on the layers?panel. Blending Options>Gradient Overlay



Gradient抯 parameters:

 



Use the same tool to represent a white flatness that may be turned over with Free Transform option the way demonstrated below:



Blending Options>Stroke

 



Create a new layer and use on it a standard brush colored with #DA0E0F, for representing the frame around the white element.



The parameters for 揃rushes?solution:



Press SHIFT button to represent the frame we want to get:

 

Choose then the Ellipse Tool (U) to draw the shape of an Easter egg. The Convert Point Tool is used when wanting to make the corrections on the egg抯 shape:



The layer抯 parameters: Blending Options>Inner Shadow

 



Make a copy of the last made layer, changing the copy抯 color on this one #45010A (move off the effects). Then select Free Transform solution to move the copy抯 position to the right side on the top, placing it also lower than the previous layer (on the layers?panel).



Now we should represent a separate file of 1024x768 px and 72 dpi which must be filled with black color, applying the Paint Bucket Tool (G).



Select then the Rectangle Tool (U) to draw five white thin lines:

 

Combine in a group all the layers containing the lines (press Ctrl button for marking out all the necessary layers and then hold on the left mouse抯 button to take the marked layers on Create a new group selection). Put together the group抯 elements in a single layer, pressing CTRL+E and choose for the new layer this demonstrated option - Filter>Distort>Wave

 



Next insert the last made layer with the wavy lines above the Easter egg. Press CTRL+T and switch between Free Transform and Warp modes. The tops on the edge should be united in the same point, indicated below. We抣l get the perspective抯 effect.



Press Alt button and make a mouse click between the lines?layers and the egg抯 one (on the layers?panel).

 

 

Use the same method for representing the white lines to represent another line of white color too. Use the same filter. Apply the Free Transform option for the last line抯 layer to stretch the wavy line horizontally.



Make two copies of the last made layer and then select Free Transform option to place the copies as it is shown on the next image:



Press Alt button while making a mouse click between the lines?layers (on the layers?panel) for the lines to get in the limits of the demonstrated egg.



Choose the Rectangle Tool (U) to represent two more horizontal white lines on which must be used the earlier applied filter Wave (repeat the earlier described stages). Place the lines?layers above the Easter egg. Press CTRL+T and switch between Free Transform and Warp modes. The tops on the edge will be reunited in the same point the way we did earlier with the previous lines.

 



Make a copy of the last made layer and choose again the Free Transform option to turn over the copy, placing it as below:



Press Alt button and make a mouse click between the wavy lines?layers (on the layers?panel) for the lines to be applied in the limits of the Easter egg.



Create a new layer again for using on it a standard brush of white color to insert one more element of the egg抯 ornament we want to get finally.



Use the same parameters out of the 揃rushes?solution, applied earlier:



Use Free Transform (warp) option to move a little to the upper side the demonstrated below tops.

 

 

Make a copy of the layer containing the line and select for it the Free Transform option to turn over the copy, placing it as below:

 

Press Alt button while making a mouse click between the lines?layers (on the layers?panel).

 

 

 

Combine in a group all the layers composing the red Easter egg and the layers with its ornament (press Ctrl button when marking out the necessary layers and then hold on the left mouse抯 button to take down the marked layers on Create a new group option). Make a copy of the earlier made first layer belonging to the egg, applying different parameters for the copy and the color #D0E505

We抣l have to represent this egg抯 ornament too. Select for the beginning the Rectangle Tool (U) to represent the white lines, that must be preliminary rasterized and then changed with the Wave filter, demonstrated earlier. Using Free Transform option for the lines, we抣l get the lines with long or short wave. We may also change the thickness of the lines and the ornament抯 placement. Make a mouse click between the lines?layers and the egg抯 one while pressing Alt button for the ornament to get in the limits of the egg抯 layer.

 



For getting the desired result, it抯 necessary to combine in a group all the layers composing the green egg (press Ctrl button for marking the corresponding layers and then hold on the left mouse抯 button to take down the marked layers on Create a new group option). Using Free Transform solution, it抯 possible to incline a little the group with the green egg, placing this group lower than the red egg抯 group.



Make a copy of the green egg抯 layer, applying for the copy this color - #C7031E and moving off the parameters. Select again the Free Transform option to place the copy on the right side, upper. Place it lower than the group containing the green egg on the layers?panel.

Make a copy of the earlier made egg抯 layer, changing the copy抯 color on this one - #F7DA01

Applying the same methods for representing the previous eggs?ornaments, it抯 possible to draw another one for the new egg. Use for the beginning the same Rectangle Tool (U) to represent white lines, processed with the Wave filter, mentioned earlier too. Apply after that the Free Transform option to get the lines with long and short waves, changing also their thickness and ornament抯 placement (this process was explained in details when representing the red egg抯 ornament). Make a click between the lines?layers and the egg抯 layer, while pressing Alt button for the ornament to get in the limits of the demonstrated egg抯 layer (this operation should be done with each line抯 layer situated above the egg抯 layer).

 

 

Combine in a group all the layers composing the yellow Easter egg (press Ctrl button for marking out the corresponding layers and then hold on the left mouse抯 button while taking down the marked layers on Create a new group selection). Use Free Transform option to incline the group with the yellow egg, placing it lower than the group containing the red egg (on the layers?panel).



Make a copy of the yellow egg抯 layer, setting for the copy this color - #45010A, moving off the parameters. Select now Free Transform option to move the copy on the right side. It should be placed lower than the group containing the yellow egg on the layers?panel.

 



Now we have to make copies of each group containing the Easter egg, mark it out and press CTRL+E. Then we have to make several copies of the layer that we抳e got. Each copy should be uncolored (CTRL+SHIFT+U) Select then Free Transform option to situate the copies arbitrarily above the picture抯 background抯 layer. The copies?sizes and their inclining direction should be changed too.



Make a copy of one of the first egg抯 layers, changing its basic color on white. Move off the layer抯 effects on the layer. This new layer should be also copied several times. Use after that Free Transform option to change the copies?sizes and their inclination direction. The layer containing the white eggs should be placed lower than the layers containing the uncolored eggs (on the layers?panel).

Use the next shown parameters for the layers containing the uncolored eggs: Fill 20%
Blending mode-Color Dodge



The layers containing the white eggs have the next indicated parameters: Fill 10%
Blending mode-Color Dodge



Choose now the Custom Shape Tool (U) to draw a small flower of white color.



Select now the Convert Point Tool to mark out the upper star抯 tops and then making the appropriate corrections to get a flower instead of star.



Make several copies of the layer containing the white flower. Use the Free Transform solution to change the copies?sizes. Place the new layers lower than the layer containing the white rectangle paper (on the layers?panel).



Set the next demonstrated parameters for the layers: Opacity 50%
Blending mode-Overlay



It抯 time to make a lot of copies, but of smaller size (without layer抯 effects), situating them also lower than the layer containing the white rectangle paper (on the layers?panel).



Try to represent several more copies of even smaller size, setting the same color for them - #E00019



Make several more copies of the flower抯 layer, placing the copies?layers above the layer with the white paper. The copies?color is #940910



We have to make also several copies with these indicated parameters: Fill 0%
