  • Creating a glossy and candy looking text in Photoshop

    Author: 2008-07-06 08:52:26 From:

Creating a glossy and candy looking text in Photoshop is really easy. I will show you how to create this one for yourself. I am using Adobe Photoshop CS3 and i if i'm not wrong the options used in this tutorial are also available in older PS-versions also.

    Lets start this.

    step 1
Create a new Photoshop document (size doesn't matter use any layout size) and fill the background with black color.

Now using Type tool create a new text layer (use color 'white' for text).

    Step 2

Open Blending options ie Layer > Layer Style > Blending Options.

Apply the settings show in figure below.

    Figure 1
    Settings for Bevel & Emboss.

    Figure 2
    Settings for Contour

    Figure 3
    Settings for satin.
This is where you have to select the color ie color of the candy. ( mix of pink and red)

    Finished Image.

Here is the final image with some little variations and one more thing ie don't end up your creative idea's ie use other settings to see different effects. There are many effects you can achieve using these settings with some little variations.

Note: By applying the same setting, you can use this text with any background color.
