In this tutorial I will show you how to do a signature like this:
First open a new document with whatever size you want. I used 360*140px.
Then paste in your stock. Resize it if needed. And remember to hold Shift+T while resizing so the stock doesn’t get stretched.
Now make two new layers. Make sure you got the top layer selected and go to image > apply image. Then on the first layer (I mean the layer under the applied image) brush with a splatter brush. Then on the top layer (applied image layer) go to layer > create clipping mask. Then just simply move the applied image layer until it looks good.
Now to the same thing, but were only going to do it on the left side of her head. (you can do whatever you want though.) So at the step where you brushing with a splatter brush, brush just at the left of her head. So it turnes out like below:
Now simply make a new layer on brush with a splatter brush somewhere. Then use the magic wand tool (I think it’s called like that) to select it. Make another new layer, then go to edit > stroke. use a one pixel stroke in the color you want. Delete the layer with the splatter brush and then move the layer with the stoke til where it looks good.
Now make two new layers. Make sure you got the top layer selected and go to image > apply image. Then on the first layer (I mean the layer under the applied image) brush with a soft brush at the left (or right side) side of her head. Then on the top layer (applied image layer) go to layer > create clipping mask. Then just simply move the applied image layer until you see her/his head. Then flip her head verticaly. Llower the opacity til it looks good.
Then basically repeat that step, but do it on another part of her/him. I did it 2 times.
Then add a random pentool shape at the side of her. Erase the parts the goes over the woman/man. Lower the opacity until it looks good.
Then add a black & white gradient map. And lower the opacity as you wish.
Then make a new layer and fill it with black. Add a lens flare (105mm) and gausian blur it one time. Lower the opacity til it looks good. Set it to screen.
This is optional. I added my latest signature in the upper right corner. Then I used a round brush to erase random parts of it. I set that layer on soft light at 81% opacity.
Then make a new layer. Outline the woman/man on the right side with the pen tool. And on the left side just draw a straight line down. (This may seem a bit finicky but I just explains how I did :P) Set this layer at overlay at 28% opacity. You’ll see below: (slightly visible)
Then again with the pen tool, outline the right side of the girl. Make it in whatever color that looks good. White in this case for me. Move it a bit to the right. Then duplicate on move it a bit more to the left.
Then make a new layer. Then add a black & white gradient map. Lower the opacity to 25%.
Then make a new layer. Choose a medium dark red color and brush where you want some color with a 200px soft round brush. Set the layer to soft light at 32% opacity.
Then make a new layer. Fill it with black and set it to screen. Then add a lens flare where ever you want it. Lower the opacity until it looks good.
Then make a black & white gradient map. Set it to multiply at 18% opacity.
Then add a random picture in your sig. I chose a pic where you can see the hollywood sign. www.googleisyourbestfriend.com.. you can find some good pics there :). Lower the opacity til it looks good. In my case it was 35%. This step is optional.
Then make a new layer. Brush with a splatter brush. Then use the magic wand tool to select it. Make a new layer. Then go to edit > stroke and add a 1px stroke in the color that looks best. Erase the layer with the splatter brush on and move the layer with the stroke to where you want it. Set the layer to overlay.
Then make a new layer and brush with a large soft round brush where you want some color. I used a tukquoise color. Set the layer to soft light and lower the opacity til it looks good.
Now make two new layers. Make sure you got the top layer selected and go to image > apply image. Then on the first layer (I mean the layer under the applied image) brush with a a soft round brush somewhere on the left side. Then on the top layer (applied image layer) go to layer > create clipping mask. Then just simply move the applied image layer until it looks good. Lower the opacity of the bottom layer til it looks good.
Then just add your own tweaks. (I mean photofilters and gradient maps) I won’t be telling mine cause that’s up to you by now :)
Then with pen tool just add a custom shape somewhere. I my case I added a small w/e you call it in english.. just a little dude lol :P I did it just for fun. It’s slightly visible.
Then with the pen tool just add a random line somewhere with a color that matches the sig. You’ll se below:
Now make two new layers. Make sure you got the top layer selected and go to image > apply image. Then on the first layer (I mean the layer under the applied image) brush with a splatter brush. Then on the top layer (applied image layer) go to layer > create clipping mask. Then just simply move the applied image layer until it looks good. Lower the opacity of the bottom layer as you wish.
Then make a new layer. Go to image > apply image and take your blur tool. Blur the part of the sig you want. Just don’t do it too much. (Mine is slightly visible)
Then add a curves layer.
Then add your text if you want.
Then add a gradient map + a photofilter.
Then make a new layer. Fill it with black and set the blending options to screen. Add a lens flare where you want some light. Gausian blur this layer one time and then lower the opacity til it looks good.
Then make a new layer. Brush with a large soft brush black in the corners (or where ever you need). Set this layer to soft light. Lower the opacity if needed.
Then make a new layer. Go to image > apply image. Then go to filter > blur > Gausian blur. Set this layer to soft light at 34% opacity.
Then make a new layer and go to image > apply image. Then go to filter > sharpen > sharpen. Erase everything except the focal point. (woman). Lower the opacity til it looks good. (49%) in my case.
Then add your own tweaks. I added some colors in her face. Then simply add a border if you want to and voila! Now your done :)
