| This segment of tutorial exercise provides step by step instruction on creating a solid cylinder in AutoCAD. |
| 1) Open new AutoCAD session {Learn how a new session can be started by seeing this link} and click ¡°Cylinder¡± tool from toolbar as shown in Figure 1 or go to draw menu at the top of the application window to select ¡°Cylinder¡± as shown in Figure 2 or type ¡°Cylinder¡± in command line as shown in Figure 3. |

| 2) After selecting ¡°Cylinder¡± tool you would be prompted to specify center point for base of cylinder, I have entered 0,0 and 0 as shown in figure 4, now press enter in key board. |

| 3) After entering center point for base of the cylinder you would be prompted to specify radius for base of cylinder, I have entered 20 as shown in Figure 5. After entering the radius for base of the cylinder press enter in the key board. |

| 4) After specifying the radius for base of cylinder you would be prompted to specify height of the cylinder, I have entered 40 as shown in Figure 6. After entering height of the cylinder press enter in the key board. |

| 6) Now select ¡°Flat Shaded¡± from view menu as shown in Figure 8 and the resultant part would be Figure 9. |
