| 1) Select rectangle icon as shown in Figure 1 or from Draw drop down menu as shown in Figure 2 or you can type "rectangle" or just "rec" in the command prompt as shown in Figure 3.{Click the link to learn how to open a AutoCAD session} |

| 2) Now you are asked to specify first corner point as shown in Figure 4. |

| 3) After specifying the first corner point you are asked to specify other corner as shown in Figure 5. |

| 4) After specifying the second corner move the cursor in any direction you wish and right click and select "Enter" as shown in Figure 6 or just press enter key in keyboard or just click the mouse to end the rectangle command and the resultant rectangle would be as shown in Figure 7. |
