  • Cinema4D Render Tutorial

    Author: 2007-06-23 00:25:05 From:

In this tutorial we are going to learn how to make renders like(click to view bigger):

First we are going to make our material becouse material is the most important part

when making a this kind of render. Click on Load Materials or press Ctrl+Shift+O

and when the screen comes on choose Banji.

    These materıals should load up:

    Choose the one called glass3

and double click it to start editing it

some window like this should pop up

Leave the specular 1 like seen on the picture the default ,you can change its color to color your render in a different way if you want.

Dont make any changes on specular 2 neither.

Change the color on Specular 3 as shown below

Move on to Transparency and change your settings again as shown on below

Deselect Reflection and select environment and put a lumas by clicking the triangle and

    going to Effects > Lumas

And change the settings as shown below

And then double click the red squire and change the Algorithm to Oren Nayar as shown below

Go to Specular 3 and change the color to orange as shown below

Ok now select Roughness and change the settings as shown below

Now move on to Anisotrophy, change the settings as shown below

So now we got out material looking like this :

You can customize the colors by changing the color of Specular 3 and the color of the Lumas i

n environment. And you can also customize the matierla by changing Function on Roughness.

Anyways so we got our material ready, lets move into render. Its gonna be simple since the material

does it all to be honest

Click F5 and your view should be divided to 4 like shown

    Choose the Spline tool =

and draw random shapes NICELY in each window.(you can also write some random stuff in each window .

    Like shown

No go to nurbs and choose Loft Nurbs

click on each spline while holding shift to choose all of them and drag them UNDER loft nurbs

Now press F1 to go back to the view with one screen, click to see what I've got so far

Click on loft nurbs and press C to make it editable and merge all splines.

We are not going to add hypernurbs as edges arent seemable and

it will only make the rendering time longer so its not neccesarry really.

Add few deformers like bend and twist and drag them under the loft nurbs like i did

Dont forget to change their object properties mess with them untill you getsomething

    that pleases you .

Now click the loft nurbs and duplicate it by clicking ctrl+c and then ctrl+v,

after that place the render nicely so they blend nicely. Click to see what I've got so far

Finally add your material that you have already made and go to render settings :

and go to antialiasing and choose Best and set it to 2x2 and 4x4

change your renders size from output but dont give alpha leave the background black.

Publish your render by clicking Shift+R.

and is the render after i published it .

YOU CAN DOWNLOAD the .C4D file and the file for materials also

    Hope you enjoyed the tutorial.
