  • Boolean Basics

    Author: 2007-06-23 00:30:52 From:

Another one of those very basic things that people need
help with figuring out, this one was requested by someone
on the forum. I wrote it mainly to shut him up ;)

    1. First, create a new scene and place an object. I'm using a cube.

    2. Create a second object. I'll use a sphere.

    3. Create a boole object.

    4. Drag the sphere, or the object you want to cut out, under the boole object.

    5. Drag the cube, or the object you want to cut a bit out of, under the boole object.

    6. The sphere will be cut out of the cube as seen below. The object you want to
cut out goes under the boole first, then comes the object you
want to cut the first one out of. An easy way to remember the order is to think
to yourself as you drag the object under the boole:

"Cut this object [ drag in first one ] out of this one [ insert second ]"

    7. You can drag a boole object under another boole as well.
