I will write all my tutorials in English. So more people can read them
1. First, open Cinema 4D. :p
2. Create a sphere and make it editable. Then with your “Model Tool” extend it upwards, and “squeeze” it in the Z axis (the blue one).

Ore, you can use my size:

2. Now we have to split that in half. Make a cube (press C to make it editable), and position it in the botom half of the sphere. (make sure it covers the ENTIRE bottom half)

3. Create a Boole Object

4. Now place the sphere and the cube under it (the cube first, then the sphere)

5. To make the head, just use a sphere. Make it smaller, until the size is about 57.

6. Now, to make the arms, first add an Arc object, And a Circle object. Position the arc object the side of the buddy, for appearance, but you can adjust it later

7. Use Sweep NURBS to make the arm (put the arc in the Sweep NURBS first, then the circle). Make the circle smaller, until the whole thing looks like an arm. I’ll show you how to take care of any mistakes later.

8. If you’re going to use these figure later, and want more control over it, repeat the process for making an arm an the other side. But i just used a Symmetry object.

Now, we have our Buddy, but there are a few more things to do.
9. You can see, that there is a small part of the left arm an the right side, and the same thing is on the left side. To get rid of these, make a boole, and but the Symmetry object under it. now make a cube, and position it at the top of the arms, like these: 10. Now put the cube under the Boole object.

11. Now, on my model, the arms are to long, so, to get rid of that, do the Boole process again. Make a cube, cover up the lower part of the arm, and put the whole thing in a boole.

You should now have something like these:

12. Well, that’s the buddy, now to give him a color. Make a new material (Ctrl+N), and give it these properties:

These is how mine came out. I added black eyes (2 spheres, black material), so it looks a bit cooler.

EDIT: If you want the buddy to look more realistic, put the entire thing in HyperNURBS. That will smooth out any rough edges.

I hope you enjoyed these tutorial. I’ll be posting the next one pretty soon.
You can download the C4D file, and use it, but remember, if you want to post it anywhere on the Internet, be fair and put a link to my website next to it.
