This tutorial has been written for ceriweb.com by Jay Evans
to explain the use of the pyrocluster plug in

    1. In your new empty scene create a simple object...

... in this tutorials we'll use a simple sphere.

    2.Add a particle emmiter.

Then reposition and resize it similar to this...

    3. In the materials menu click File>pyrocluster
and create a pyrocluster and a volume tracer.

    4. Click on the pyrocluster in the materials box.
Make sure you're on the globals tab and then change
the drop down menu at the very bottom to FireBall.

5 . Change to the Pyrocluster volume tracer properties.
Check the "render hidden objects" box and change the render mode to "crispy-Gas"

    6. Create a new environment object.

    7. Now drag the Pyrocluster onto the emitter object as you would do with a texture.
Then drag the Volume Tracer onto the environment object.

    8. Now move the timeline slider so that particles start to stream out
of the emitter as shown in the screenshot below.

    9. Now hit render and the particles show up as flames!

    10. You can create many different effects using the presets in the Pyrocluster properties:

That's it, all done... you can now use the pyrocluster plug in!
If theres someting that didnt work then you can download this file!
