This tutorial will show you how to create an earth shaking effect that can be used in action sequences. I will use a clip of a man falling to the ground and create an effect of the shaking earth.
1. Preparing the clips
Import the material into Adobe Premiere Pro and transfer the chosen segment into the timeline. I have chosen the famous Coupe de Boule (Headbutt) clip. Resize the clip a little so that the borders are outside the frame. That way there will be no black stripes when the clip will be shaking.

2. Animating
The shake effect is basically an animation where we animate the position of the clip. Click on the Effect Controls (marked with blue). Position is placed under Motion. If you have not done any animating before the next steps can be a little tricky but you will get the hang of it soon.
1. Click on the tiny Toggle Animation icon (marked with green).
2. Find the part of the clip where you want to start animating (marked with pink).
3. Click on the little diamond to select the Keyframe (marked with yellow).
A diamond will apear on the start point of the animation.

3. The Shake
For the earth shaking effect we will be changing the position on the y axis (marked with red). Leave the first keyframe with the sarting coordinate and create another keyframe shortly after the first one. On the picture below you can see two keyframes closely together (mostly overlaping).

To make it seem that the earth moved downwards when Materazzi hit ground, I changed the coordinate of the y axis of the second keyframe. The clip moved down a little (see the pictures below).

Continue animating by adding more keyframes and changing the koordinates up and down.

That is basically it. I hope you find this tutorial useful.
