  • Create Websites Using Joomla

    I Used Joomla For a little time ,and i found that is very nice,very simple,very easy and everyone can have a good chance to create his own good website ^_^

    So Idecided to create a small tutorial showing people how to install joomla step by step ....

    What Is Joomla?

    Joomla! is an award-winning Content Management System (CMS) that will help you build websites and other powerful online applications. Best of all, Joomla! is an open source solution that is freely available to everybody. 

    Where Can We download Joomla?

    You Can download joomla from it official website : Www.Joomla.Org  By Clicking On this Icon :

    NB : I choosed the Old Oe Because is Little stable than the newest one .. :)

     After CLicking the download link you will be redirected to the listing files,and you can choosefuul pack for a new installation or just upgrade files if you already runnig joomla...

     Here Is the Listing of the folders and files you should upload hem to your website ^^

     


     

    You Will also  have to Create a new database if you don't have one..

    I choosed "Joomla"  as a name to my database you can choose any name you want

     Done..Database created ..

    Now ...You are ready to start The installation Wizard ! :)

    Using your Browser (I Like Mozilla fireFox ^_^) Run this page  url :

    Remember to change "http://localhost/joomla/" to "http://youwebsite.com/" or "http://youwebsite.com/folder/" if you are installing joomla in a folder of your website...

    Now just follow the wizard : 

     

     

     for the 1st time you will see someerror writed in red just read what is it carefully (all of them are about making some files and folders writable so just change thee chmod to 777 for the folders and 666 for the files for all what you see in green ^_^)

     After you done..Click Next...

    Read this BS and or just proceed clicking Next

     

     

     Now you just have to feel the blanck (required field ) with the requested details :

     

     

    Localhost : You database server name (99% is localhost)

    root : Database username

    password:database password

    joomla: database name

     then click next

    a messagebox shows asking you to confirm that details are Ok ...so if they are good ^^ just click Ok

    After...Give a name to your website ..it means the "Title"

    then click next

     

     

    And proceed...

     Now you Can Meet your New Website ^^ :)and you cn take a 1st tour in the admin panel ^^
