The SCH V700 has a clamshell design and has an upper half which can tilt 90 degrees for easy viewing. It has both video calling and PMP. Being a PMP, it will even allow the user to download entire movies from websites and see them on the small display or on a bigger one using the TV out function. The handset has approximately 200 megabytes of memory builtin and an additional RS MMC card can be accomodated in the necessary slot. A 256 megabyte card may be fitted into the slot more than double the memory of the V700.
But before you get really excited and suspect that this PMP gadget will provide a rush of excitement on a par with its near namesake, PCP, allow us to explain:
PMP is just another new marketing tag dreamt up by PR types in a froth of cappuccino to describe a common or garden multimedia handset, i.e. a hard disk/flash memory based gizmo capable of playing back/recording MP3s and video.
